Graduate Programs
Graduate study in the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders involves
close interaction with world-class faculty in a state-of-the-art facility. Students
interested in advanced study leading to clinical or research degrees in Communication
Sciences and Disorders have a variety of options. Our clinical graduate degree programs
prepare students to practice as Speech-Language Pathologists or Audiologists, or
to be teachers of the Deaf. The Ph.D. degree is designed for students interested
in pursuing a research career, and is designed for students who already have a master’s
degree.
The graduate program in Communication Sciences and Disorders offers a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SPP). At the doctoral level, there
is the clinical Doctorate of Audiology (AYD) and the research Doctorate of Philosophy in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD).
